Description
Traditional initiation systems – ERGODET and NITRODET electric detonators:
– designed to initiate explosives under various conditions of use, i.e. in underground and open-pit mines and for construction and engineering works,
– have a precise and wide range of delays, enabling advanced blasting operation/p>
– offered in different safety classes,
– can be used in conditions where there is a risk of methane and/or coal dust explosion – ERGODET M or ERGODET W (depending on the type of risk). Their safety of use is regularly tested by independent research institutions.
The selection of the proper detonators is a key factor in all blasting operations. The type of the secondary charge of ERGODET and NITRODET is optimized to provide a high degree of safety and reliability of explosives initiation. Correctly selected detonators ensure the proper fragmentation of the excavated material, as well as a reduction of the paraseismic vibrations, noise level and flyrocks.
In addition to standard electric detonators, NITROERG S.A. also offers reinforced electric detonators (WZI) with a higher initial capacity which can be used to initiate emulsion explosives, both cartridged and in bulk ones, including those mechanically charged to blast holes in non-methane and non-coal mines. Reinforced electric detonators are an ideal alternative to the detonator-booster system used to initiate emulsion explosives.
